Welcome to the Kamuela Philharmonic’s Audition Page
The Kamuela Philharmonic invites musicians from the Hawaii Islands to audition to be a part of our music ohana on the Big Island. We strive to keep the audition process as fun, and painless as possible. Your preparation and willingness to be a part of this process will make that possible.
The Philharmonic will hold an “open audition” call every fall for new musicians. However, if you are new to the island or missed the audition date, we may be able to accommodate a mid-season audition for you based on the availability of our Maestro and a panel of judges.
To Apply for an audition, please fill out the Audition Information Form and return to the KPO via email or ground mail.
Download and print the orchestral excerpts for your particular instrument.
(You will be contacted by a Player’s Committee Representative to schedule your audition.)
Applicants will be invited to audition on the basis of the Audition Information Form screening.
