The Kamuela Philharmonic is delighted to bring back the much-loved POPS! concert to the fabulous Kahilu Theatre in Waimea on Hawai‘i Island on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 2pm.

After the overwhelming success of last year’s sold-out performance, the Philharmonic returns with a program meticulously curated to captivate and charm audiences of all ages to close out its 2023/24 season with a delightful crescendo!

From the dazzling lights of Broadway to the enchanting and timeless melodies of Hollywood, immerse yourself in an afternoon brimming with cherished pops classics that will surely warm your hearts and leave you with smiles as bright as the Kohala sun.

Under the baton of Artistic Director and Conductor Brian Dollinger, revel in a repertoire featuring iconic works by Jerry Brubaker, Calvin Custer, Bob Krogstad, Meredith Wilson, Carl Strommen, and more.

Venue Info

The Kahilu Theatre is located in the green rolling hills of Waimea (aka Kamuela), at 2700 ft elevation in the South Kohala district of Hawai`i Island. The theatre was founded in 1980 by Richard Smart—heir to the Parker Ranch and accomplished Broadway actor—and has a 484-seat concert hall, a Black Box performance venue, as well as two gallery spaces.

Kahilu Theatre presents dynamic performers from all over the world and around the state to Hawai’i Island residents and visitors, and it is home to the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra during our concert season. For more information visit the Kahilu Theatre website.
