This special afternoon brings the music of one of the world’s most beloved composers to the Kahilu Theatre stage while showcasing the outstanding young musicians selected as winners of the Kamuela Philharmonic’s annual Youth Concerto Competition.
Experience the passion, drama, and unforgettable melodies of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, alongside inspiring performances by emerging young artists from Hawai‘i. Together, they make MasterWorks II a celebration of musical imagination, mentorship, and the remarkable ability of great music to connect generations.

The Kahilu Theatre is located in the green rolling hills of Waimea (aka Kamuela), at 2700 ft elevation in the South Kohala district of Hawai`i Island. The theatre was founded in 1980 by Richard Smart—heir to the Parker Ranch and accomplished Broadway actor—and has a 484-seat concert hall, a Black Box performance venue, as well as two gallery spaces.
Kahilu Theatre presents dynamic performers from all over the world and around the state to Hawai’i Island residents and visitors, and it is home to the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra during our concert season. For more information visit the Kahilu Theatre website.
