In 2017 the Kamuela Philharmonic welcomed David Turner to its Board. We especially welcome members with a strong business history, to guide the organization’s commitment to fiscal responsibility that is supported by a community base of sustainable financial resources.

Mr. Turner, a Kailua-Kona resident, comes to the KPO Board with previous music organization board experience, after retiring from a 26-year successful career as a Financial Planner at Morgan Stanley. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music Education and performs on the clarinet with the KPO, with the Chamber Orchestra of Kona, and with the West Hawai‘i County Band. David is married to Joanne Turner who plays violin with the KPO and sings with the Kona Choral Society.
