Maurice Ravel’s masterful orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition brings to life some of the most iconic themes in the symphonic repertoire. With vivid colors and evocative textures, Ravel’s arrangement showcases the full expressive power of the orchestra in this beloved musical journey through an imagined art gallery. And introducing our guest artist, Tyler Flores Ramos, performing the first piano concerto of Chopin.

About Kahilu Theatre
The Kahilu Theatre is located in the green rolling hills of Waimea (aka Kamuela), at 2700 ft elevation in the South Kohala district of Hawai`i Island. The theatre was founded in 1980 by Richard Smart—heir to the Parker Ranch and accomplished Broadway actor—and has a 484-seat concert hall, a Black Box performance venue, as well as two gallery spaces.
Kahilu Theatre presents dynamic performers from all over the world and around the state to Hawai’i Island residents and visitors, and it is home to the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra during our 2019-2020 Concert Season. For more information visit the Kahilu Theatre website.
