About Heather
Heather Hamilton is a lifelong supporter of the arts, music, and theater. After receiving a B.S. from James Madison University, she joined the United States Marine Corps and became an Intelligence Officer. She was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, deployed to the Middle East for Operation Iraqi Freedom I, and was later stationed at Miramar, San Diego, CA.
Heather completed her military service and became a government employee focusing on acquisition documentation, procurement, and contract management for military software systems. After her 2nd child was born, she moved to Hawai‘i Island with her husband and fellow Board Member, Darren Hamilton.
She volunteers services and support at numerous Hawai‘i Island schools and actively sponsors the Hoku Concert Series.
She works to support philanthropic endeavors such as the Kamuela Philharmonic that promote education through rich culture, beautiful classical music, and performing arts here in Hawai‘i.
