About Binti
Binti Bailey is a professional Hawai‘i Island musician and vocalist heavily involved in community events and outreach. Binti grew up singing in her church. She studied flute and piano from elementary school into high school. Binti continued her involvement with music throughout college, performing in various community and collegiate events. During this time, Binti began to focus more on her vocal training. Prior to moving to the Island of Hawai‘i in 2010, Binti performed with an all-female band based in Philadelphia, Pa.
She teaches vocals with Big Island Music Academy and led a vocal class at Innovations Public Charter School in 2020. Binti has been involved with the Aloha Theatre as an actress in The Toxic Avenger and Into the Woods, vocal director for The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Peter Pan Jr., and choreographer for Once on this Island. Binti has performed professionally at venues on Hawai‘i Island, O‘ahu, and Maui. Ms. Bailey is able to perform many different genres, including jazz, soul, rock and roll, and gospel. She is currently the choir director at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity in Kailua-Kona.
Binti has been working as a Physical Therapist Assistant for over 12 years. She also has a B.S. in Allied Health Management and is pursuing the completion of an M.B.A.
