Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra Small Ensemble Program
The Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra Society’s Small Ensemble Program seeks to reach the underserved communities and rural areas of Hawai‘i Island by providing free concerts.
The ensemble groups perform at stages in shopping centers, senior retirement homes, and veterans hospitals, as well as other outdoor locations. The venues are easily accessible to senior citizens, people with physical disabilities, at-risk youth, and their families. Members of the community with limited budgets can enjoy an outdoor concert in spaces where children can play on the grass, and audience members can sit together and enjoy the event free of charge.
Our goal is to bring the rich culture of live orchestral music to the entire community.
